    During her years of trauma, Tomala often went to the YWCA when she most needed help. Later, she returned to school and received her Master’s Degree in Mental Health, and counseled many years at the same YWCA where she had received services! She now teaches a substance use course at Indiana University at South Bend. She enjoys time with her four children and five grandchildren. As Tomala says, “if you are a victim now, get to somewhere safe, talk about your trauma, and make a plan to heal - because healing is possible.”

    Jaci Lamont, LCSW

    Jaci, (pronounced Jackie) author of Heal Your Heart, Heal Your Child, has a Master’s Degree in Social Work. She specializes in helping women heal from trauma as an individual and group therapist. Jaci finds working with people with trauma very rewarding because the therapeutic tools she uses, such as EMDR, guided imagery, and group therapy, are so effective that clients are often amazed at their swift progress and decrease in symptoms. She honors each woman’s trauma and healing journey and helps her heal from the inside out. Jaci loves being with her family, and spending time in nature and at the beach.
